Steaming Ponds at Huka Falls Prawn Park, Taupo, New Zealand(click on image for large view)

This is a photo of some of the ponds at the Huka Falls Prawn Park in Taupo which is New Zealand’s only prawn park. They breed and grow prawns using the waste geothermal heat from the geothermal power station next door hence the steam coming from the pool.

  6. Darren,
Thanks for stopping by. No, that is not smoke around the pool, it is steam coming from the pool. It was winter time when I took the photo.
