I came across this car in the city this morning and I just had to take a photo of it. It’s not everyday you come across a “Cucci” personalised plate. What came to mind when I saw the plate was a Chinese knock-off of Gucci or the owner may have been alluding to….yup, you got it! Who knows?

I took this photo last night and as you can see, at the particular time there was 358 days, 00 hours, 25 minutes and 5 seconds to go until the start of the 2011 Rugby World Cup right here in Godzone. The clock is located at Queen Elizabeth Square which is right across the road from the Britomart Transport Centre, Auckland.

Qantas Airways With OneWorld Livery Landing at Auckland Airport

For some reason I happened to be at the airport when two airlines from the OneWorld Network came in for landing. What stood out about them was that they both had OneWorld Livery instead of the usual Qantas or Cathay Pacific plastered on the side.

Len Brown for Mayor of Auckland?

Auckland is just about to hit a historic moment with the formation of the Super City. That brings along with it the race to become the new Mayor of Auckland. Len Brown is one of the candidates but I am a bit sceptical about his suitability. He has displayed very odd behaviour in public and he doesn’t seem to be quite ‘there’ if you know what I mean.

Spring officially started a few days ago and this has left a lot of people more cheerful seeing as summer is just around the corner. It also marks a point where a lot of people are getting their gardens ready and sowing seeds and so on and so forth. I am no different and one thing I don’t like to do is spend money when I don’t need to. To start of my seed I stick them into homemade seed trays which are just egg cartons and that has saved me a few dollars.
